When I took my sister out to shoot for the first time, we spent a few hours each day on gun safety with snap caps. Afterwards when we shot, I gave her 1 round until she got comfortable and I could see she followed safety rules.
This would not have been my first choice of firearm as a entry point. I hope she’s been able to have a loving and joyful life after this.

Man it’s painful to watch these two brain-dead women discuss things they can’t grasp. Of course there aren’t charges. The instructor goofed up, and paid the price. A more appropriate question might be, will the range continue to let tourists shoot unbraced automatic weapons they may not have the strength or instincts to handle? Yes, I’ve shot M16s, and I’d have no problem teaching a kid to shoot it. But not a SMG without a stock. Nor would I hand that to an adult who wasn’t a seasoned shooter.

I can tell by the way she was holding the gun before it was said on HOW it happened.
She was just holding it with NO Grip, Stance or anything and clearly just TOUCHING with little to no effort.
